Willing Workers On Organic Farms is an international organisation that matches people seeking organic and nature based learning experiences with hosts who have a suitable property to share.
Information for prospective wwoofers
Huon Bush Retreats offers a WWOOFing experience different to the norm. We are not an organic farm, but focus closely on a nature based experience. We do have an organic garden, but much of the WWOOFing work will be around the full site and perhaps even at our home on the other side of the mountain.
We are 10 minutes drive (1.5 hours walk) from Huonville. We can arrange collection from the bus stop in Huonville and can usually offer a trip to town a couple of times a week if there is room during our routine supply trips. As this is a quality, eco-tourism establishment, quality and safety standards apply. We only allow fully registered WWOOFers, but if you are not yet registered, we can help you do so when you first arrive.
WWOOF accommodation is in a caravan near reception. It is equipped with one single plus one double bed, small table, sink and hanging space. Other facilities are shared with the campground. This includes the camp kitchen, showers, toilet and the outdoor bath.
We supply your food but you may have to prepare your own meals, depending on other commitments that we have to guests and general retreat work. Other times we may all prepare and eat together.
Please contact us to see when we can accommodate you. As we have more WWOOFers wanting to visit us than we can accommodate, it's best if you can contact us well before you plan to visit.
