As part of our vision for Huon Bush Retreats, we will be installing thoughtfully designed geodesic domes, which will offer guests a luxurious and immersive experience. A welcoming reception hub and electric transport solutions will create a seamless, car-free retreat, while a spacious function venue will open doors for transformative gatherings, retreats, and events.
Meet Michael Smith – The New Heart Behind Huon Bush Retreats
A proud Tasmanian, Michael Smith spent 17 years overseas before returning home to reconnect with family and nature. A spontaneous stop at Huon Bush Retreats on a trip to Cockle Creek turned into six weeks of immersion in the landscape. He recognised a shift towards regenerative experiential travel, and knew that Huon Bush Retreats was perfectly positioned to lead this movement. Committing his heart, soul, and resources, Michael took ownership and set out to shape a sanctuary that blends sustainable luxury, community, and the pristine wilderness of the Huon Valley.
